Women Military Aviators (WMA) is a non-profit organization formed in 1982 with the union of 126 WASP and 86 active duty women pilots and navigators.

Our mission is to Preserve the Past, Promote the Present, and Protect the Future of women pilots, navigators and aircrew, who serve and have served their country during times of war and peace. Today, we number over 500 members living and stationed around the world.

Our members represent every service and every decade of women in modern military aviation. In the early 1990’s, WMA members were front and center in the fight to repeal the combat exclusion law that prevented women from flying combat aircraft and taking command of combat units. Working together our members continue to impact important issues facing women military aviators — past, present and future.
